HEATING PROCEDURES FOR INDIVIDUAL KOSHER MEALS

Portions come packaged and labeled in Dual Therm plates & bowls with a Kosher certified clear package that are ovenable / microwaveable. Foods that require heating are best rethermed when thawed prior to heating. Recommended heating is:

  • From chilled, Oven = 250 Degrees Fahrenheit, 45 minutes.
  • From frozen, 275 Degrees Fahrenheit,1 hour
  • From chilled, Microwave = 3-4 minutes on high
  • From frozen, Microwave = 5-7 minutes on high

IMPORTANT NOTE

Product needs to be completely heated in order to enjoy the full flavor and quality of the food.
After heating products can be held in a holding cabinet for 2-3 hours at 180 degrees
When microwaving, place meal on paper doily in center of microwave, a few pinhole vents should be made in order to prevent extreme pressure build up. When in standard oven with a clean steam table or sheet pan wrapped in aluminum foil. using an oven, place the sealed plates on a clean steam table or sheet pan wrapped in aluminum foil. (avoid placing product directly on the wire racks) to prevent deforming also do not exceed 350 degrees (F)

HEATING PROCEDURES FOR FAMILY STYLE DELI TAKE OUT FOODS

  • From chilled, Oven = 250 Degrees Fahrenheit, 90 minutes.
  • From frozen, 275 Degrees Fahrenheit, 2 hours
  • From chilled, Microwave = 5-8 minutes on high
  • From frozen, Microwave = 10-15 minutes on high
  • For home use, Soups are best heated by placing bag in a pot of boiling water for 45 minutes and can be held for there (with flame off) until ready to serve
